Who am I?

copy-mike-going-to-surf2-e1349229083616.jpgWelcome to my blog.  I am an athlete by heart.  The Lord  continues to bless me by allowing me to still play the sports and games I enjoy most.   I have also been blessed with the opportunity to give my comments and analyze sports events as they unfold on TV and radio.

What truly moves me are not the games themselves, but the men and women who sacrifice so much just to reach their full potential.

I do hope you enjoy the stories of winning, the moments of victory that I will share with you.  Remember,  winners are those who always give their all.

I read your Rappler article and found myself giddy to send you a personal message. I’m a baseball enthusiast having loved it while I stayed in the US for a couple of years and I am still trying to follow my team while here. But my interest in baseball has brought me to gear my attention also towards Philippine baseball where we had a good history. Hopefully I can follow Philippine baseball more and closely and be able to write more about them as well in my spare time.

Hello Mike — Zolan Kanno-Youngs reaching out from USA TODAY Sports looking for input on a story I’m writing on the use of Periscope at sporting events. I saw that you were live streaming from the Mayweather Pacquiao fight. Do you have some time to talk to me in the coming days?

Hi sir Mike. Any chance punch out boxing club makes a comeback? or is the only boxing club that offers monthly packages (instead of sessions) a thing of the past now?

Hello Mike. I’m interested in knowing how I might assist in the revival of baseball here. I’m a retired expat from the USA and have always been a fan and player in my youth. I live in northern Pangasinan and have time, but no connections. Can you give me some direction? Thanks in advance for your reply.

    HI Coach Mike

I have been looking for baseball club for youngsters here in the Philippines and I saw you and Philippines Habagat through TV program Sports Unlimited. My nephew tried and loves baseball when he was in the states last summer. He spent 2 months playing there with his cousin and when he came back he has been asking me to look for a club. He is 15 years old and studying at OB Montessorri, unfortunately they do not have such sports there. We reside in Manila but we are willing to bring him to practice.

I would appreciate if you could refer us to any clubs here in Manila or if you have any contacts where my nephew can join a club or just play even once a week.

Many thanks and hoping to hear from you.
